Family Sapotaceae.

Similar to a plum berry 5 to 10 cm diameter and 70-300 g of thin skin and grayish brown. The flesh is yellow to reddish brown and very sweet and nice. Inside are a variable number of seed with a hook (0 to 12) and with which we must be careful to eat the fruit. Some varieties have a slightly gritty texture.
