Family Apiaceae.
Herbaceous plant about 20 to 75 cm tall straight stems and much divided green leaves that can be smooth or curly, depending on variety, and with a long petiole. The flowers, which appear in the second year, are greenish-white and form an umbel. The flat leaf parsley has a stronger flavor and slightly spicy persistent compared to curly leaf, which has a milder flavor, almost sweet.
