Both the shape (from round to oval or pear-shaped) as the color of the pulp and rind (green yellowish pink to yellow at the point of maturity) are highly variable depending on the variety. Their weight can range from 60 to 500 g. After the shell there are two layers, a lower and consistent size and a second layer firm soft, moist, creamy and full of hard seeds. Bittersweet flavor with hints of walnut and hazelnut.
