Smaller than the plantain and banana (8 and 13 inches long and about 3 in diameter), presents an ivory-colored flesh with few strands and buttery yellow or red skin thinner and thinner than that of banana and banana. Its flavor is more intense, fragrant and fine.
It is eaten fresh, in desserts and milkshakes. It is very nutritious.
