Thailand native fruit shelled green, brown or yellow prickly about 40 cm in circumference and can weigh between 2 and 5 kg. It houses a yellow-orange edible flesh creamy texture and some seeds are also edible when roasted. It has a very subtle taste, sweet and nut-like but is characterized by a very strong smell.
It is eaten fresh or cooked with sugar or coconut water. Prepared as sauce alone or combined with other products. And is used as a condiment to flavor ice cream.
The unripe fruit is cooked and eaten as a vegetable. The seeds are eaten roasted.
